Welcome! I’m Morah Miri — a passionate and experienced Hebrew educator with over 45 years of teaching in both Israel and the United States. I specialize in Hebrew language (reading, writing, and grammar) as well as Judaic studies, and I bring warmth, energy, and a personal touch to every lesson

My Teaching Philosophy

Language is more than words — it’s a bridge to culture, tradition, and identity. Regardless of the age, whether I am introducing aleph-bet, helping build confidence in conversation, Bar/Bat Mitzvah preparation, or guiding through advanced grammar and Israeli current events, my goal is always the same: to make Hebrew accessible, engaging, and meaningful

Over the past four decades, I’ve had the privilege of teaching students of all ages and backgrounds:

Beth El Synagogue Center (New Rochelle, NY) — Teaching Ulpan and Sunday School since 1998, with a unique curriculum that blends literature, current events, and conversational Hebrew.
Shaaray Tikvah (Scarsdale, NY)
Westchester Hebrew High School (Mamaroneck, NY)
Private Hebrew Lessons (White Plains, NY) — One-on-one and small group tutoring tailored to each student’s level and learning goals.
Former Classroom Teacher at SAR Academy and multiple Jewish day and Sunday schools throughout Westchester and NYC.
Educator and Administrator in Israeli schools, including curriculum development and leadership in Hebrew and Judaic studies.
